What is benefit for Textile sector

As sustainability and traceability requirements continue to gain importance in business transactions with overseas brands and major apparel companies, obtaining internationally recognized certifications has become increasingly valuable for textile businesses.

To support the global expansion of local enterprises, Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, launched a subsidy program on May 1, 2026, primarily for textile-related businesses located within the city. Under this program, both international certification acquisition costs and certification renewal costs are eligible for financial support.

Certification Overview:
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a voluntary international standard designed to promote sheep welfare and the responsible management of grazing land. The standard verifies practices at the farm level and provides a credible framework that enables brands, manufacturers, and supply chain partners to make reliable claims regarding the responsible sourcing of wool.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)

Certification Overview:
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) ensures the organic status of textile products, from the harvesting of raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing and labeling, providing credible assurance to consumers. The standard applies to the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading, and distribution of a wide range of textile products (excluding leather products) containing at least 70% certified organic natural fibers. Covered end products include yarns, fabrics, garments, and textile hygiene products, among others.

Certification Overview:
regenagri® is a regenerative agriculture certification program that supports farms and associated organizations in transitioning to agricultural practices that increase soil organic matter, enhance biodiversity, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and promote carbon sequestration. The regenagri® Chain of Custody (CoC) certification connects the value of regenerative agriculture to finished products by enabling the traceability of certified materials through the supply chain. It is applicable to organizations involved in the processing, manufacturing, trading, and distribution of agricultural raw materials.
